ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1) Supervise technicians and contract laborers to complete the construction and modifications of new and existing substations.

2) Perform detail reporting and documentation on construction and maintenance projects.

3) Operate various equipment associated with substation construction and maintenance.

4) Prepare and excavation site.

5) Drill and form concrete foundations.

6) Interpret construction blueprints.

7) Coordinate with design engineers changes and questions on construction.

8) Coordinate with other departments for a safe and efficient construction schedule.

9) Coordinate activities of personnel and equipment borrowed.

Senior Inventory Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for supervising all inventory shipment and receiving activities with responsibility for accountability and control of physical inventories for Electric Production Plants.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1) Monitor, reconcile and initiate orders for services, materials and supplies.

2) Monitor and maintain inventory and purchasing records including amount, type and value.

3) Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments.

4) Train other warehouse staff on proper inventory procedures.

5) Operate forklift and other material handling services.

6) Maintain tool crib including keeping accurate records for issuing and receiving tools, documenting conditions, performing minor repairs to tools and ordering replacement tool for worn or damaged items.

7) Set & maintain purchase orders for vendors for payment.

Substation Technician

Responsible for maintaining, constructing and retrofitting electric substation equipment including circuit breakers, transformers, switches, battery systems, tap changers, cooling systems, lighting arresters, and other substation equipment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1) Install, maintain, assist and repair breakers and transformers.
2) Perform switch and clearance orders as instructed by dispatch.
3) Follow dispatch instructions on releasing clearance.
4) Perform general substation maintenance and repairs.
5) Conduct infrared testing and interpretation of readings on all equipment such as switches, bus connection, cable connection, etc.
6) Document and perform monthly inspections for transformers and counter readings.
7) Assist in new construction and modification of existing substations.
8) Pull and terminate control wiring in control house and switchgear.
9) Install rack and terminate cables for communication equipment.
10) Provide support for 24 hour operations.

Senior Electric Technician

POSITION SUMMARY
To transport, transform, and distribute electrical energy to GP&L and provide/ process data to and from the dispatch center and ERCOT. Supervise and plan work activities for Electronic Technicians.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Constructs upgrades and maintains protective relays in the substation, communication processors, RTUs and fiber optic. Troubleshoots mechanical, electrical and electronic devices used in the automation/protection/communication scheme. Operation of switches or other equipment energized at up to 345,000 volts. Trouble shooting substation or line outages, including after-hours, to determine problems and make repairs to substation equipment including breakers, transformers, and low voltage AC and DC power systems. Supervise, plan and review and train Electronic Technicians.

Senior Accountant - Electric Utility

This position will perform accounting duties for Garland Power & Light. Activities will include but not limited to financial statement preparation using FERC Uniform System Of Accounts (USOA), journal entry preparation, account reconciliation, & special projects as assigned.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1) Prepare monthly financial data for reporting to Sr. Management utilizing FERC USOA.

2) Prepare monthly journal entries & supporting schedules.

3) Reconcile general ledger accounts including Construction Work in Progress (CWIP).

4) Monitor timely & accurate reporting of all CWIP & Fixed Asset activity ensuring the proper accounting treatment.

5) Participate in system implementation and upgrade projects such as general ledger and work order & asset management system.

6) Develop Benchmarking & KPI tools.

7) Create ad hoc reports for GP&L departments as required.
