Rotating Outages End for Now

Conservation of Power Still Needed

Garland, TX, February 2, 2011, 3:00 p.m. – The ERCOT mandated rotating outages experienced statewide today are no longer needed at this time. However, due to the continued cold weather and the possibility that generation units could once again be affected by the low temperatures, power customers should be aware that there is a strong possibility that the rotating outages may be required again this evening or tomorrow.

It is extremely important that all customers continue conserving power. This includes turning off all unnecessary lights, appliances and electronic equipment.
